There was a story on ABC News tonight that involved a little boy who has dilated cardiomyopathy. I have read quite a bit about the Berlin Heart and what it can do. It sounds absolutely amazing.

It's scary to see something your child has as part of a featured news story, however. I think the only way to describe it is sobering. Or maybe surreal.
On a much, much brighter note -- a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to Easter Seals in Annie's name. We will be thinking of you all while we walk in Manchester on June 7 (my parents' 45th anniversary, BTW) and counting ourselves lucky to have such friends, family, and colleagues. And yet another reason to be thankful for Annie in our lives! She has brought us closer to so many of you.
